Little Tikes Playhouse Makeover!

Playhouse makeover! 🏠

I was inspired by some of my favorite accounts to rehab our Little Tikes playhouse now that the weather is warming up. I’m so excited how it came out and hope the kiddies love the fresh look ⭐️

Here is the after:

This is the before version:

It didn’t take long, but definitely took some effort. The hardest part was taking the thing apart to paint it! I took off the roof and windows first, sprayed those black and then sprayed the entire rest of the house white — inside and out. I painted the door blue on one side and pink on the other 🎨

I also painted the chairs from red to white to go with the new atheistic 😊 I added a doormat from target and used stickers for the address. 🖤

I plan to add some more fun accents to the house throughout the year for different holidays and seasons. 🎀

DIY Ideas: Add Some DIY Flaire To Your Travel Gear

I really couldn’t live without my Reisenthal Travel Tote, it folds up in a suitcase as a the perfect backup for shopping excursions or in our case gift shlepping trips. We wanted to try to glitz things up a bit and inspired by the applique sweatshirts of a recent #instafav, Bow and Drape, we decided to DIY our travel tote with some sequin letter appliques.

All you need are some Glitter Sequin Appliques & some Fabric Adhesic.

DIY Ideas // Super Easy DIY Sharpie Mugs

I decided to test out all of the DIY Sharpie Mugs I’ve been seeing on Pinterest lately for one of our lovely Gift Insider colleagues.  I’m always a little hesitant to try out handwritten crafts, because I’ve never been very fond of my penmenship and was worried it might turn out like a middle school art project…

But, with a little out of the box thinking I figured out a way… I used stickers as stencils to make amost perfect letters.

How to Make a DIY Sharpie Mug (w/ stickers)

1. Place the letter stickers on clean mug and trace around with a sharpie (I used silver since i loved the look with the Spring Starbucks cups)

2. Place mug in the oven (do not pre-heart) and heat up to 350 for 30 minutes

3. Take out of oven, let cool, take off stickers and you’ll have perfect letters and a totally customized mug
