Get your closet right

Clean out your closet, find gently-worn items that are in good condition and head to a consignment shop to sell them. In the meantime,  you’ll have more cash to put toward new things that you’ll actually have room for in your newly cleaned out closet. Here are some places where you can sell your things:

Second Time Around

Luxury Garage Sale

Buffalo Exchange

Crossroads Trading Co.

Plato’s Closet

Get subscribed

Drink Wine and Eat Apps at the Same Time

How annoying is it when you have a drink in your hand at a cocktail party and have to pass up all the delish apps you see everyone else eating.

Thank You Garden In A Bag

I love these “Gardens in a Bag” gifts.

Thank you gifts are always a little tough.  When you are thanking someone,  most don’t expect an expensive or fancy gift.

That’s why this $8.99 gift is perfect. It’s still thoughtful and shows your appreciation, but a perfect cheap price point.

Gift Card Puzzle Vault – Fun Way To Give A Gift Card

While I normally think giving gifts cards is kind of an easy way out as far as gifts go … this makes any gift card a perfect gift.

This gift card puzzle vault makes the receiver have to solve a puzzle before they can get out the card.

Great thing to stock up on … always have a fun gift around.

Give a Handmade Book – Most Thoughtful, Least Expensive

I definitely get this trait from my mom, but I have always loved making books for family and friends.

There are tons of different ways to go about it – I did this on Photoshop for my Mom’s 55th Birthday.  Every year our family does a “Top Ten Reasons We Love You” sign. So to make this book I compiled 55 reasons we love her and used photoshop to put some pictures in too.

You can also make little scrapbooks, photo books online (although it will cost you more),  make a book from a special trip you’ve been on, make a comic book for a friend.  The possibilities are endless, especially with a computer.

Books really are one of the most thoughtful, meaningful and CHEAPEST gifts you can find!

Gift For the Music Lover

Good Housekeeping has some great, super inexpensive gift ideas in their December Gift-Giving Guide.

I know I’m not impartial since I work for the magazine, but I promise these are good ones!

This one is my favorite … only $7.95!

It’s the Bevy Ipod Shuffle Case, it includes a key chain, earbud wrap and even a bottle opener.

Perfect holiday gift for a college student.
