Insider Tips: Give A Subscription Gift As A Last Minute Gifts

Subscription Gifts

We’re big fans of subscription gifts in general, but they are also the perfect solution to the last-minute dilemma of what to give someone when you are totally stuck. Order oline, print of a certificate, roll up and tie with a bow.  Perfect, easy and doesn’t even look like you forgot about them until Christmas Eve.

FOR THE GUYS:

1. Trunk Club

Trunk club is a men’s clothing service, based in Chicago that sends a trunk of high-end clothes right to their member’s doors.  They have personal stylists who handpick the clothing and free shipping that lets you easily send back anything you don’t love. This is a great gift for busy and successful businessmen who want to look sharp but don’t have the time to spend their days shopping.

2. ManPacks

ManPacks is a monthly subscription service that delivers monthly necessities to you each month.  They will send men’s underwear, socks, razors, or even condoms. Perfect for the guys who hate having to head to Target or new graduates who still need a little help getting into their handle on monthly routines.

3. BeSpoke Post

BeSpoke Post is totally man-focused but varies widely on category each month.  Boxes range from coffee presses to travel accessories, but all focus on helping guys class up their lives.  Starts at $45/month. https://www.bespokepost.com/

2. POPSUGAR MustHave

The editors at the oh-so-popular, POPSUGAR website recently launched their “MustHave” monthly subscription service filled with celebrity favorite products, POPSUGAR Editors favorite products and items they hope you will discover and love. It’s a range of Fashion, Beauty, Fitness and Home Decor items, like their site.  Starts at $35/month.

3. Birchbox

Birchbox started it all and they do it well.  They send monthly beauty samples to your door for ladies to try out the latest products.  If you love something they make it simple for you to order more right on their site.  It’s an impressive company founded by a few young lady entrepreneurs, who really disrupted an industry. It’s the perfect gift for the beauty junky.

KiwiCrates is a fun and easy way to spark creativity in kids.  They offer monthly hands-on activities delivered to your door with all the necessary materials included.  Perfect for children at 3-7. Let’s face it, most of us are procrastinators.  Not to fear, sometimes the last gifts, end up being the gifts that are loved the most. Here’s 4 top suggestions to help calm your nerves and fuel your last minute creativity.

Gift Etiquette Last Minute Gifts

GIVE –  Bespoke Post for the guys or Birchbox for the beauty junkie ladies or for anyone try a box of edibles from Blockful.

ORDER ONLINE + PICK UP IN STORE  – A lot of the big national chain stores let you order online and pick up product in store, some even do curbside pick up. Take advantage of this to avoid the craziness of the malls.

GIVE – Polka Dot trinket boxes from Target or a Beer Making Kit from Nordstrom (both offer this service)

TICK TOCK! TICK TOCK! Last-minute gift ideas

Hey last-minute Lucy, we’re here to help! It’s ok if last-minute is your style, because we’ve got ways to help you make it look like it wasn’t last-minute. Here’s a list of unconventional last-minute gifts for all of you down-to-the-last-millisecond-shoppers:

Whisk Them Away

A trip is always a great gift for a significant other, because everyone could use a vacay! Go the extra mile and actually plan the entire trip in advance (if you can plan in advance, book it and tell them when to pack their bags) – reserve the hotel, buy ticket vouchers, book excursions for when you’re there. One of my favorite kinds of “trip gifts” are themed ones like: A Trip to the Final Four in New Orleans, Surf Lessons in Costa Rica or Tour the Pubs in Ireland. Get creative! Check out these sites for excursion ideas: Travel Zoo, Apple Vacations + Kayak.

How to wrap this: gather small items that are related to the trip (i.e. sun tan lotion, pink drink umbrella, sea shell) and put them in a gift bag.

Give an Experience

Xperience Days makes it easy to find a gift for anyone whether they crave adventure, thrills or creativity. From race car driving and sky diving to cooking classes and food tours, you can give a gift that will leave a lasting impression.

Fast + easy: Simply print out the voucher and wrap it up!

A Year’s Worth of Gifts

Gift-of-the-month clubs are the gifts that literally keep on giving. Some of them are on the pricey side, so you could opt for just a 3-month subscription. Some of our favs are J.Crew’s Jewelry of the Month Club, Vosges Lunar Chocolate of the Month Club and a flower subscription to H.Bloom. When you sign them up for a subscription to H.Bloom (check out their special and find out how you could get your first bouquet free) they’ll receive fresh flowers every month on the date they choose for delivery. If you have any one-time event floral needs or any questions, contact floral expert Ashley via email or by phone 312.344.1240.

Wrap it up with a hint: Print out a voucher of their “of-the-month” club or subscription and place in some accessories that might help them enjoy that gift each month (i.e. a vase for a flower subscription, a jewelry tray for a jewelry of the month club).

Happy Gifting!
