TICK TOCK! TICK TOCK! Last-minute gift ideas

Hey last-minute Lucy, we’re here to help! It’s ok if last-minute is your style, because we’ve got ways to help you make it look like it wasn’t last-minute. Here’s a list of unconventional last-minute gifts for all of you down-to-the-last-millisecond-shoppers:

Whisk Them Away

A trip is always a great gift for a significant other, because everyone could use a vacay! Go the extra mile and actually plan the entire trip in advance (if you can plan in advance, book it and tell them when to pack their bags) – reserve the hotel, buy ticket vouchers, book excursions for when you’re there. One of my favorite kinds of “trip gifts” are themed ones like: A Trip to the Final Four in New Orleans, Surf Lessons in Costa Rica or Tour the Pubs in Ireland. Get creative! Check out these sites for excursion ideas: Travel Zoo, Apple Vacations + Kayak.

How to wrap this: gather small items that are related to the trip (i.e. sun tan lotion, pink drink umbrella, sea shell) and put them in a gift bag.

Give an Experience

Xperience Days makes it easy to find a gift for anyone whether they crave adventure, thrills or creativity. From race car driving and sky diving to cooking classes and food tours, you can give a gift that will leave a lasting impression.

Fast + easy: Simply print out the voucher and wrap it up!

A Year’s Worth of Gifts

Gift-of-the-month clubs are the gifts that literally keep on giving. Some of them are on the pricey side, so you could opt for just a 3-month subscription. Some of our favs are J.Crew’s Jewelry of the Month Club, Vosges Lunar Chocolate of the Month Club and a flower subscription to H.Bloom. When you sign them up for a subscription to H.Bloom (check out their special and find out how you could get your first bouquet free) they’ll receive fresh flowers every month on the date they choose for delivery. If you have any one-time event floral needs or any questions, contact floral expert Ashley via email or by phone 312.344.1240.

Wrap it up with a hint: Print out a voucher of their “of-the-month” club or subscription and place in some accessories that might help them enjoy that gift each month (i.e. a vase for a flower subscription, a jewelry tray for a jewelry of the month club).

Happy Gifting!

Gift Picks for the Tastemaker in Your Life

This guest post comes from our friend Elizabeth Kott from CLOSET RICH – a stylish premiere online shop with amazing vintage + pre-loved goodies! Here are her picks for the trend-setter in your life:

Interior designer Kelly Wearstler’s career trajectory is on the radar of any knowing style-maven. Thus, anything from herrecently launched clothing and accessories line is a a good call – I am partial to this twisted brass ring.
Coffee table books have a beautiful way of setting a tone for a space but are not things one generally buys for themselves, which is why I like giving them as gifts. This one for little monsters and fashion fans alike, is my pick for the season, claws up.
I live for a fancy candle and love giving (and getting) them as gifts, but picking scents for people can be tricky. This scent is fail proof -created years ago exclusively for NYC’s Gramercy Park Hotel- it’s very understated and the perfect choice for any guy or girl who craves a bit of luxury.
Why is it that a good ipad case is so difficult to track down? This DVF option wins my vote for best style/function combo. Muy importante.
Pressed Juicery is a seriously yummy organic juice spot in Los Angeles, and luckily their fresh juice kits can be delivered anywhere in the country- this gift is equal parts unique, healthy and delicious.

Elizabeth Kott, is the founder of ClosetRich.com, a fabulously curated online destination for pre-loved and vintage clothing finds. Quickly becoming one of the best kept secret’s on the Los Angeles fashion scene- Closet Rich’s inventory hails directly from closets of the city’s most fashionable inhabitants. A former member of Rachel Zoe’s team, Kott certainly knows a thing or two about finding the most unique gifts for that fab trendsetter in your life.

We’re really looking forward to hosting the Sleep Number Twitter Chat on Thursday! You all know we are all about recommending the best of the best and only recommending products we really believer are as fab as they claim to be. Since we had never experience a Sleep Number bed before, they were awesome enough to send us over our very own P5 King Bed last month so we could make sure it was really as amazing as it claims to be.

And oh it is….

So comfy, so easy, so fun playing around with my # (I’m typically about a 45). I love it. And so will any couple who has differing opinions on if a soft or hard bed is the way to go. Or if you have a crappy back.

During the #SleepNumber chat I’ll help you out with gift-giving tips to make your holiday easy and less stressful! I will share some of her very best tips for getting the best deals and finding the absolute perfect holiday gifts for your loved ones this holiday season. @sleepgeekpete and @sleepnumbersara will be on hand to share their insights and expertise as well and help with any Sleep Number questions you might have.

You know we love swag… Sleep Number will be giving away 5 Sleep Number® AirFit™ Adjustable Pillows. (Each Pillow Ranges from $189.00 – $229.00) We haven’t had a chance to check the pillows out, but if they are as awesome as the bed it’s totally worth signing up!

Join the festivities on Dec. 8 from 7-8 PM Central Time

1.) Visit the Sleep Number Facebook page and click on the “Sleep Better Chat” link on the upper left corner to log-in and participate on Thursday evening. Log-in with a username and include #sleepnumber in all your comments.
